Francesco Morandi is a Full Professor of Tourism and Transport Law at the University of Sassari, Attorney at Law and Legal Consultant. He also teaches EU Tourism and Transport Law at the Roma Tre University and at the IREST of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Ph.D in Law and Economics, he is a former member of the National University Council, Dean of the School of Economics and Vice-Rector of the University of Sassari. As a legal advisor to the Italian Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, and the UN Tourism, he drafted regulatory texts, from the transposition of the Directive (EU) 2015/2032 on package travel (Legislative Decree no. 62/2018), to the International Code for the Protection of Tourists (ICPT) for UN Tourism. He is the Founder and Editor in Chief of the “Italian Journal of Tourism Law”, author of several scientific publications, including four books and one handbook of tourism law, and coordinator of research groups on different subjects of law and management. He is the founder and President of the Italian Society of Tourism Law, a member of the scientific committee of Italian and international law journals, and a member of scientific associations of maritime and transport law.
